"RIVERVIEW -- At 29, ValTrenda Cesar of Riverview is slightly older than many of her classmates at Hillsborough Community College in Brandon. But that doesn't bother this single mother of two; it suits her goal of helping others.
Cesar dreams of becoming a counselor and running a school or group home. She's working hard to get there, with determination and character imparted to her by her late paternal grandmother, Ruth Catherine Hip'pard.

"There were times when I would sit on the countertop at her house and just listen to her talk about being a lady, how to be a wife," Cesar said. "The core values she instilled in me my mother cultivated, and I want to instill them in other young ladies."

In 2007, Cesar started the Ruth Catherine Women's Institute LLC to help women improve their lives....."
